Home Recording Academy

Home Recording Academy comes with three levels of support, which have different enrolment fees attached:

The Essential Experience - £497

This includes: Ongoing access to all materials inside the course hub; Access to the BONUS 10 Week Live Delivery (which incl. 1 x FB Live Q&As per week with Isobel) inside the private Facebook community; and; Any core bonuses you qualify for.

The Accelerator Experience - £997

This includes everything inside the Essential Experience + 1 x weekly Live Zoom group coaching calls with Isobel during the BONUS 10 Week Live Delivery and any Accelerator bonuses your qualify for.

The Platinum Experience - £2,997

Everything inside the Essential and Accelerator Experiences, plus: 10 weeks of 1-2-1 coaching w/ Isobel during the BONUS 10 Week Live Experience; a two hour 1:1 artist branding session; 3 x 1:1 music marketing strategy sessions, and; a 1 hour follow up coaching call with Isobel after the programme has ended.

During some enrolment periods we offer six fully funded scholarships to women who are either from a marginalised ethnicity, living with a disability/chronic illness or trans/AFAB non binary. This is only when we have the capacity and not guaranteed.

The BONUS 10 Week LIVE Delivery with Isobel will start Feb 3rd and run through till April 11th.

Yes! Isobel is very committed to making sure you get all the support you need as you begin and progress through Home Recording Academy.

That's why all students get access to the BONUS Live 10 Week Delivery which includes a Facebook Live Q&A each week inside a private Facebook group.

For the 2025 cohort, the 10 Week FB Live delivery Q&As will take place from February 3RD - April 11th. We rotate the times to account for different time zones, like so:

1st & 3rd week of the month: TUESDAYS @ 10AM GMT

2nd & 4th week of the month: TUESDAYS @ 6PM GMT

During the 10 week Live delivery, there is also the option of upgrading to Live group coaching (Accelerator) with Isobel too. These take place on:

1st & 3rd week of the month: TUESDAYS @ 6PM GMT

2nd & 4th week of the month: TUESDAYS @ 10AM GMT

All Students

The 10 Week Live delivery FB Live Q&As take place from February 3rd - April 11th. We rotate the times to account for different time zones, like so:

Accelerator Students

During the 10 week Live delivery, there is also the option of upgrading to Live group coaching (Accelerator) with Isobel too. These take place on:

1st & 3rd week of the month: TUESDAYS @ 7PM GMT

2nd & 4th week of the month: TUESDAYS @ 10AM GMT

Platinum Students

The day of the week and time of the regular 1:1 coaching calls with Isobel will be agreed between Isobel and yourself. You will be given a window of time in which to schedule you other Platinum calls.

Getting into your software and recording your music

Module 04: Editing & The Fundamentals of Production

Getting creative with cutting, fading, EQ, Compression, Reverb and more!

Module 05: Mixing It All Together

Taking your recordings to a final mix

Module 06: What's Next?

Taking your recordings further with mastering, studio recording and more.

Bonus Module: MIDI 101

Add infinite electronic textures, including beats and synth sounds, to your music.

It's recommended students spend 2-5 hours per week to go through each module, depending on existing experience and knowledge levels.

However, all students get ongoing access to the course and community, so there is also no pressure to complete the programme within any specific amount of time.

The BONUS 10 week Live Delivery serves as an opportunity to be part of a community and get some extra support from Isobel as you begin your journey inside Home Recording Academy, but you will likely take longer to fully embed the lessons inside.

The minimum equipment needed to participate in Home Recording Academy is as follows:

🎤 A microphone (low-budget is fine!)

🎧 Closed back headphones (low-budget is fine!)

No! Isobel has designed Home Recording Academy to work across any recording software for two reasons:

1. This means your budget won't affect your ability to take part in the programme (FREE software welcome!)
   

2. You will be more confident in the fundamental principles of recording and production, NOT just using one specific type of software. This means you'll be able to enter a recording studio or work on a new piece of software and not feel back to square one.

Additionally, all the techniques inside Home Recording Academy are demoed on both GarageBand and Ableton, but as long as you have some software, you can work through the lessons inside.

No! Home Recording Academy has been designed for total beginners to recording and production. However, many people with prior music tech experience have found the programme deeply rewarding and that they've been able to fill crucial gaps in their knowledge.
